Smoke damage in a residential care home

Event:

Following an electrical fire on the ground floor, smoke damage had permeated into a number of rooms and ceiling voids.
The property is a permanent home for people with special needs and therefore required a rapid smoke damage remediation program, to be phased in with the refurbishment program, in order for the residents to return as soon as possible.

Response:

AnyTime UK rapidly provided a thorough smoke damage clean-up of walls, floors, ceiling voids and fixtures & fittings in the affected areas.
In the ceiling voids and other heavily stained areas an application of specialist smoke sealant was applied, to lock back stains and odours before reinstatement.
The work program included a thorough carpet clean in the affected areas.
The key requirements were that the works took place expediently and in a sequence to fit in with the client’s reinstatement works.
The requirements were met, and the residents were re-accommodated in good time.
